The quantity of AdBlue used in catalysation process is about 5 per cent of used fuel. AdBlue is non-toxic and is safe to handle; however it can be corrosive for some materials, then must be stored and transported with the correct materials.
Adblue has an average shelf life of 6-12 months which, if stored correctly, can be extended to about 18 months.
It is important to protect Adblue from extremes of temperature, at -11°c Adblue will freeze and should not be used until completely thawed.
Conversly, quality is compromised at temperatures in excess of 30°c.
