Fancy yourself as a bit of a Carol Henry, Tony Mendoza or even a Dean Chamberlain? Why not enter the TateOil photo competition to win an Amazon Kindle?
Nothing sums up spring like a Snowdrop. Or, is it a Daffodil? Perhaps it’s the first blossom on the trees for you? Either way, there is no doubt that those first glimpses of colour encapsulate this season of new life.
So, without further ado we announce the theme for the second TateOil Photographic Competition……’Floral’. No, not our office cleaner, we’re talking flowers. Close ups, still life arrangements, banks of Rhododendrons, cascades of Bougainvillea or Boulevards of Blossom, all images welcome.
Simply enter a photo you’ve taken and we’ll post the best entries on our website. The ultimate winner will be informed by email at the end of April, just in time for the May holidays!
Competition rules:
The entrant must have taken the photo themselves. The photograph’s subject should be a flower or flowers, either in part, or whole. Each entrant is permitted to submit one image only.
To enter the competition email us a copy of your photograph here sales@tate-fuels.co.uk . Please make the subject title of the email ‘Photo Competition‘. Tell us a little about yourself, too; where you live and where you took the picture.
Photos will be voted for by the public, on our website, and the 10 images to receive the greatest number of votes will be shortlisted and presented to our panel of judges, to decide the ultimate winner. Their decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into. Final judgement will be made on 30th April 2012, entries close at midnight 25th April, with public voting closing at 9am on the 27th April. The winner, decided by our judges, will receive an Amazon Kindle. Voting is open once an image is posted.
The panel of judges includes international award winning professional photographer Lorentz Gullachsen, advertising guru and Getty Images photographer, Pete Denton, and representatives of TateOil (Learn more here).
You can only vote for your favourite image on our competition page and your vote will count towards its total. ‘Like’s on our Facebook page will not be taken into account in the final tally, but will be visible to other Facebook users, who may then vote on our site. You may only vote for a photograph once.
The entrant retains Copywrite of the image but, by submitting a photo, entrants grant Tate Fuel Oils Ltd the right to reproduce the image in publicity material, on their website, Facebook page and other related sites.
Anybody may enter a photo, but only those entrants residing within the UK will be eligible to win the Kindle.
