Tate Solar is part of the Tate family of companies based in Otley, West Yorkshire.

George Tate founded Tate Oil in 1972 as an extension to his family engineering business. With an existing network of loyal agricultural customers, it became one of the first family-run fuel suppliers in the area – and more than 50 years later, Tate Oil remains the same independent, family-run business today.

Tate Solar was launched to help Tate Oil customers navigate the next steps on their renewable energy journey, bringing the same level of personal service, expertise and quality to Solar PV systems as we do to fuel supply.

Unlike other solar panel installers, we have the geographical and structural knowledge required to bring the latest and most future-proof solar technology to agricultural and rural properties.
